The Story
Cassia’s love of jewellery began early through travel and a fascination with colour, culture and craftsmanship. A formative journey to India in the early 1990s revealed the transformative power of jewellery. After being rowed through the tranquil waterways of Kashmir, Cassia visited the home of a local jeweller and watched a ring being made entirely by hand using the simplest of tools.
“Before my eyes, he created a ring from the most basic of tools. I was hooked.”
That moment began a lifelong passion for jewellery making and design.
Later, regular visits to Kathmandu saw Cassia designing her own early collections while building trusted relationships with gemstone dealers and master craftsmen. There she developed a deep understanding of gemmology, precious stones and the artistry behind exceptional jewellery.
Cassia is a trained goldsmith, gemmologist, diamond grader and jewellery designer. While living in Sri Lanka, she further expanded her expertise, sourcing rare sapphires, spinels and unique gemstones for private clients.
The Craft
Today, every Cassia piece begins in her Wiltshire studio, where she designs bespoke jewellery, jewellery masters and one-of-a-kind fine jewellery inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the colours discovered through travel.
Her designs are then brought to life by a carefully nurtured network of master British craftsmen, chosen for their specialist skills in traditional goldsmithing, engraving and fine enamelling.
Every piece is proudly British made using recycled gold wherever possible. For every item purchased, a tree is planted.
Cassia is passionate about preserving heritage skills and works closely with talented artisans to help keep rare traditional crafts alive for future generations.
